It is difficult to estimate when service can be restored, however, because we may need to address unforeseen issues and need to make water system adjustments before restoring service. City of Asheville Contact: Water Engineering Services Phone: This is an informational notification from the City of Asheville Water Resources Department letting you know we will begin installation of new waterline infrastructure on Frederick Street from Choctaw Street to the end. During construction there will be scheduled water outages and lane reductions as construction progresses over the next several weeks.
Construction and lane reductions will begin on Wednesday, November 10, weather permitting. You will receive further updates as the project progresses along with water interruption dates and other pertinent information regarding the project that directly affects you as water customers. Due to the location of installation, on street parking will be restricted within the construction area. Please make arrangements to avoid parking on street during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience that our construction will cause.

When the work is completed customers may experience discolored water or air in the lines and are advised to wait until the water is clear before using it.
